Triclopyr acts on nucleic acid metabolism. The plant produces excessive nucleic acid so that some tissues are transformed into meristematic tissues. In the end, plants die of deformity of leaves, stems and roots, depletion of storage materials, vascular bundle tissues are plugged or broken.
Triclopyr herbicide is used for weed and irrigation before afforestation, maintenance of fire line, cultivation of pine trees and forest transformation. It can be used against lespedeza bicolor, hazelnut, Mongolian oak, betula dahurica, tilia, aspen, mountain rose, elm, artemisia, bupleurum, platycodon grandiflorum, ground ELM, clematis, veronica, clover, tang song grass, fern, maple, willow, pearl plum, mosquito-wort, parsley, jade bamboo, willow-leaf embroidered chrysanthemum, clove, hypericum, Chinese hickory, plum, hilltop, thick plum, Yamanashi, sweet wormwood.
